Not sure he won one, but he was definitely nominated for The Green Mile.

That means nothing Gareth. I rarely watch films and I wouldn't know a lot of today's top actors even if they stood next to me at a match. I was in Colchester a few years ago and my eldest daughter got excited because standing next to us was some big TV star. I'd never heard of him.

I'm the same with professional footballers, I'd probably only recognise half of the current England squad...& of the others, I might not even know their names, but regognise their boat from the papers.

At the end of last season a group of us were comnig back from Watford, having played their supporters side, & the QPR team were walking through Euston station, as we were arriving back. They were heading to play Manchester City, the next day. One of my mates was like a little kid, & shok Joey Barton's hand. He then insisted I took his photo with Cisse, which I did. Nice of them to stop really, & spare a few moments. After, I tapped Cisse on the shoulder, shook his hand, & thanked him for the time, explaining i didn't know who he was myself, as I was a non-league fan. He wasn't too impressed with that, from the look on his face... ( The one who had his photo taken was Lezford, who occasionally posts on here, not a star struck kid, but a bloke who was almost 40 at the time...)

Same with me, wouldn't know him if he introduced himself (not that he can now)

Why didn't you mention that at East Grinstead? It would have been the perfect comeback to his jibes to you regarding chinese takeaway menu's. Cool

He didn't. He was nominated in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role catagory for 'The Green Mile', but he did win a few other awards for the same film.

Friday.

Top notch film. He only had a bit part in that though.
I'd never heard of him but his filmography list is huge. The IMDB website lists 92 films and tv shows he's appeared in.

I thought the same. He was in a lot more stuff than what I realised.
