As it's the opening week of the Olympic Games, I shall be kicking off with these:

Wed - Canada v Japan & South Africa v Sweden (Women's Preliminary Round) @ Ricoh Arena

Thurs - UAE v Uruguay & GB v Senegal (Men's Preliminary Round) @ Old Trafford.

Before this may take in Pilkington XXX v Solihull on Monday.

Hoping to find something for Friday but not holding my breath at this stage.

Tue 24: Hyde v FC United, my first football game this season, I expect to be watching competitive Aussie Rules and rugby league until then.
Thur 26: Spain v Japan, Morocco v Honduras @Hampden Park (tick for me). St Johnstone's Europa Lge game is a tempting treble (cheers prorege), but that would be pushing my luck with my partner I suspect. Pass out saved for Saturday more likely.

Monday 23rd - Tavistock v Leeds United - Neil Warnocks annual opening fixture at Langsford Park, although after seeing Sheffield Utd, Crystal Palace and QPR here in recent years the visit of Leeds appears to be a bigger draw locally.

Then thats it for my pre-season as head off to London on the 25th May in my role as a Games Maker at the Olympics, early visit to the main stadium on Weds 25th for duty at dress rehersal of Olympic Opening Ceremony and then daytime Friday I'm on duty at Lords for the Archery and later in the games at the main park for Handball. Last shifts Thursday 2nd August and then back on Saturday 4th August for the start of the real season with a new ground planned already on the opening day !

Monday 23rd July: (NOTHING...unless anyone knows of ANYTHING in or near Hamburg.)
Thank you to mip for pointing me to SC Victoria Hamburg v. Rahlstedter, 7.15pm, on their all-weather pitch, not far from their main ground. So that will be me dashing round the city all day, taking photos of grounds, then heading there.

Tuesday 24th: Flight due back at Luton Airport at 17.50.
Then,no idea what time I'll arrive, 7.45pm pre-season Dulwich Hamlet v. Crystal Palace, who have promised a very strong squad. Programmes are being done for this, but by a volunteer. There will only be a very small print run of about 200. If you want one reserved please message me before Thursday 19th July, lunchtime, & I'll arrange for one to kept back for you, before I go to Germany for a few days.

Wednesday 25th: Pre-season: Holmesdale v. Dulwich Hamlet.

then home for a few hours and up the road to

Thursday - Men's Olympic Football at St James' Park Angelic

- Newcastle - Mexico v Korea Republic and Gabon v Switzerland (we have a Gabon flag just for the hell of it Tongue

I think they use the colege regularly in pre seasons from they way they worded the fixtures on their website. The college is about 200 yards south of the old Fisher Athletic ground from "their" Conference days if you want to ahve a nose around/
