pubs near ebbsfleets ground ?	Can't Post or Reply Privately

we have ebbsfleet away august 18th and been asked by reds planning to go about decent boozers near the ground, havent been since 2001 and seen on internet football ground pub by ground the plough is closed, anyone know of other decent pubs that arent to far from the ground ?

The Rose Inn is close to Northfleet station; turn right, 200 yards.

It's nine years since I went there but it's still in the GBG. The handpumps shouldn't scare you but the mad old Irish landlady might if she's still there. And if the parrot is also still in residence, don't give it bother...

There was a pub virtually opposite the main entrance but I think it is a restuarant or something now?

The Plough is now the Golden Grill Cafe.As Mr T says The Rose Inn is your best (& only) bet. No other pubs nearby unless your walk in the opposite direction to Swanscombe & find The George & Dragon at the top of the hill.

Be careful not to stray into the estate at Wallis Park behind the Plough End of the ground unless you require grade A heroin or any other number of illicit drugs.But then again a small quantity of crystal meth may help in the enjoyment factor of watching the match.

To be honest i avoid going to the clubhouse.Haven't been since they had a 'refurbishment' (probably just a lick of paint) a couple of years ago .Best way to describe it is functional.I know they had Fosters on draught but i have no idea what else is on offer.

Normal burger/tea bars at various places around the ground.I don't think there is an extensive menu on offer in the clubhouse apart from rolls/sandwiches.

I doubt if i'll be there on Aug 18th so won't be seeing Brett Ormerod in action for Wrexham!

only been there once with dulwich lost 2-1 in season 2000-2001 last away game of the season dulwich brought around 30 fans, this was back in mishi's drinking days, was 14 myself at the time and he cam up to me and offerd me vodka and coke ! first time i had a drink of a strong sprit Smile

Another vote for going to Gravesend town centre first, although the Wetherspoons is usually pretty packed on a Saturday.

Agree with others, plenty of pubs within 0.5 mile of gravesend station. If your going by road, the bat and ball on wrotham road isn't a bad boozer. There's nothing from the ebbsfleet A2 turn off either.
