Hibs are also playing Rapid Bucharest at Grangemouth on Wednesday 11th July at 7.30pm - also prices at £10/£5. Tickets will be available to buy in advance at some stage from Hibs but no confirmation of whether or not it will be all-ticket.

Very good info as always, Prorege. But I have a question - do East Stirlingshire still have any plans to move to Grangemouth Stadium, as was apparently suggested a few years ago? After all, I would be surprised if they are planning to groundshare permanently at Stenhousemuir.

I don't think there's much chance of them ever moving to Grangemouth. As Falkirk Juniors found out last season, there are problems with availability of the stadium over the April-September period due to Athletics events.

Shire will stay at Stenhousemuir for now. It has been suggested that they might build their own facilities on the opposite side of the ground from the main stand - a new grandstand, changing rooms etc, but I cannot see that happening either.

The club have always stated their intention to return to Falkirk - one small step in this direction is the opening this week of a new club shop and office premises on Bainsford Main Street.

What remained of Firs Park has now been flattened so there is no prospect of going back there.

You have to feel sorry for Rapid Bucharest. All that money they must have spent on travel and accomodation, etc and three of the four games they were going to play at Grangemouth get rained off.
I did consider going there for the Hibernian game which was the most high-profile of the games there but the weather forecast made me err on the side of caution.
Personally I would not dismiss out of hand the possibility of East Stirlingshire moving there one day, after all the stadium is in what is virtually a suburb of Falkirk.

Rapid have played a couple of other games which were not publicised, including one of the unliklier football fixtures - Stenhousemuir v Rapid Bucharest.
