Step 7 is minimum 14 clubs with no more than 25% reserves so if they get rid of 5 reserves then they meet the criteria.

I assume that unlike the earlier Gainsborough Town (Central Midlands League), this club is not Trinity reserves in disguise.

Fat AND Pompous.
I was going to list all my grounds for the season, but the moderator said five lines only.

This year they were Gainsborough Town Canutes and were in the Lincoln Saturday League. For a couple of seasons before that they were in the Gainsborough League, and prior to that had a couple of seasons in the Scunthorpe League as Smiffys (a local firm sponsored them). They rent a pitch at the Roses Sports Ground on North Warren Road - no facilities for spectators.

They left the Scunny League because they couldn't win it and have won their leagues ever since, although they always seem to get knocked out of the Lincs Junior Cup on penalties. If they don't do well in the county league, they will throw their toys out!

Nothing to do with Trinity (as far as I know).

We could only meet 7B at present as in that scenario we would only have 60% satisfing the criteria

also Gainsborough Town, although playing at Roses last season
will be playing at Marshalls, Middlefield Lane, Gainsborough DN21 1PU this coming season

Incidentally, that august publication, 'The Gainsborough Standard'reported today that only 5 teams have registered so far for next season, leaving the 108 year old league in danger of folding. Those leaving are:-

Gainsborough Town Canutes Res - folded
Mattersey - Sheffield Senior Lge
Bridon - Midland Amateur Alliance
Haxey Town - merged with Epworth Town in Scunthorpe Lge.

It doesn't list the 5 who are left but the remaining teams from last years constitution of 9 are:-

BFC Birches
Harworth Colliery
Retford Town
East Drayton
Fox & Hounds Willingham

Good enough. Still step 7 for promotion/relegation you just get less funding although presumably more than you do now.

True,

but what I meant was that was one way we could go.......

We have just surveyed the clubs on ideas on splitting the league, 2nd division/reserve division/wait for another season
step 7 status is important, but it is also important that we are able to provide football and dont exclude teams that have been part of our growth
we have had 13 new teams in the last 5 years

Forum readers what are your views on expansion (Minimum Grading Requirement Pass/Fail)

Boston Town Reserves (from UCL Reserve League) (P)
Boston United Reserves (P)
CGB Humbertherm (P)
Cleethorpes Town Reserves (First team promoted to North East Counties) (F) @ Linden homes
Gainsborough Town (from Lincoln Saturday League) (P)
Grimsby Borough Reserves (P)
Heckington United (F)
Horncastle Town (F)
Hykeham Town (P)
Lincoln United Reserves (P)
Lincoln Moorlands Railway Reserves (P)
Louth Town Reserves (P)
Market Rasen Town (F)
Nettleham (F)
Ruston Sports (P)
Skegness Town (F)
Skegness United (P)
Sleaford Town Reserves (P)
Swineshead Institute (P)

Total clubs 19

The clubs that fail grading, all fail on changing rooms and 4 are scheduled to meet the standards in the close-season

Any workable thoughts ?

I bet the rest of the sides in the County Senior League are overjoyed if Mattersey are joining the league.

Indeed. I would have thought that the Doncaster Senior Lge would have been a more logical choice.

They've joined the Boston & District League - in the Premier Division - so only drop one level!
