Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) 2012-13 Can't Post or Reply Privately

The AGM is tonight.
Proposed constitution:

Premier Division

AFC Spelthorne Sports (promoted from Div 1)
Chiddingfold
Cranleigh
Farnborough North End (relegated from Surrey Elite)
Godalming & Farncombe Athletic (promoted from Div 1)
Lightwater United (promoted from Division 1)
Merrow
Milford & Witley
Royal Holloway Old Boys
Shottermill & Haslemere
University of Surrey
Worplesdon Phoenix
Yateley

Division One

AFC Molesey (sidewards move from SSEC Int Div 2)
Chobham Burymead
Elm Grove Seniors
Knaphill Athletic
Millmead (promoted from Guildford & Woking Alliance Premier Division)
Ockham (two level jump from GWA Division One (third place last season))
Old Salesians (Farnborough)
Pyrford
Shalford
Tongham (relegated from Premier Division)
Unis Old Boys (relegated from Premier Division)
Windlesham United (from GWA Premier Division (7th place last season))
Woking & Horsell

Ockham & Windlesham appear to be applying to join the league rather being promoted into it.

Not appearing in the proposed constitution -
Abbey (rumours are they've merged with Abbey Rangers after a two year split)
AFC Leatherhead (didn't play a game after February so presumably disbanded)
Ewhurst (finished bottom of Div 1 so presumably relegated to Guildford & Woking Alliance)
Yateley Green (promoted to Surrey Elite)

Just realised Bagshot aren't featured in those lists.
I'm confused. Crazy

They are showing on Full time as remaining in the Aldershot & District League Senior Division.

I've seen the Division One constitution confirmed as above. Can't find anyone listing the Premier Division yet though.
Also, on another forum it's said "Surrey Intermediate AGM last night, Bagshot's application to the league was rejected via a vote. "

Their manager has replied: "told us 5-6 weeks ago that everything would be fine, and it's just a matter of paperwork. We received an email yesterday stating our application was not succesful. Then told it would go to a vote from all clubs at last nights AGM. I'm then involved by 2 people today that attended the meeting, all clubs were advised to reject your application and vote against it. I really do not understand the sense in all this, no specific reason has been given. We are trying to fight this, but not too sure to what extent it can be fought."

Stupid thing is, if they'd applied for promotion to the Surrey Elite they probably would have got it.

The Premier Division was confirmed as listed but there's also the possibility of 'a Bedfont team' to be added at a later date. I don't know if this is anything to do with Bedfont Town or not.

There have been a couple of additional posts on that thread. Apparently Bagshot were kicked out of the SCIL (W) a couple of years ago due to various issues. So perhaps not a surprise that all clubs were advised to vote against them.

A couple? They've been in the Aldershot League for at least four years and were in the East Berkshire League before that. It must be at least ten years since they were in the SCIL(W). Does anyone bear a grudge for that long in football at this level?

It turns out they'd only applied to join Division One anyway. I don't think anyone at the club realised that's a drop of one division in the pyramid. Not getting in may have done them a favour as they can apply to join the Surrey Elite next season if they finish high enough in the Aldershot League.

They do around here, one league or one club in that league who have members on the committee hold grudges for many years agianst a number of clubs sometimes even for non footballing matters or just that other clubs beat their own club.

If you refer to the thread, the person specifies that the club failed to pay fines, etc, and those people at the club who were involved in them being chucked out are still at the club. So fair enough I'd say.

Their manager has quit - wonder if there was anything more to it than not wanting to manage an A&D league team.

Wrecclesham are Aldershot Division 2. They've lost players over the past couple of years and are down to one team now.

Bedfont Town have now been added to the SCIL(W) Premier Division bringing it up to 14 teams.

Bedfont Town Reserves have been put into Division Four North of the Guildford & Woking Alliance which is the lowest level of Saturday football in the area.

The two AFC Bedfont Green sides in the GWA have been promoted into Divisions One and Two respectively. I don't know if they still have links with Bedfont Town (I might have mentioned that on this thread already).

Bedfont Town Reserves have now moved from the Guildford & Woking Alliance to Reserve Division One of the SCIL (W).
The reserve divisions in this league used to mirror the first team divisions but that's changed this season.
