I'd better explain 63/64 since you've left it blank on Wikipedia.

S&H list the 1963/64 winners as Mexborough Town.

Mexborough Town's entry in the Non League Club Directory 1992 (page 778) has them down as winning the Sheffield Senior Cup nine times which are as follows 1885-86, 93-94, 95-96, 30-31, 33-34, 63-64, 74-75, 76-77, 82-83.

The honours list in a Mexborough Town programme from 12/04/93 (vs Askern Welfare) also has them winning the Sheffield Senior Cup nine times which are 1886, 1894, 1896, 1931, 1934, 1964, 1975, 1977, 1983.

An article in the Stocksbridge Park Steels programme from 27/04/93 (vs Worksop Town, SSC Final 2nd Leg) gives the following details, Final at Rawmarsh 5/5/64 Mexborough Town 0 Stocksbridge Works 1, and it shows two photo-copied newspaper reports on the game.

The match report for Stocksbridge's 1993 SSC win, published in the Green'Un, stated the last Senior Cup success for the village was by Stocksbridge Works in 1964 but it hadn't been engraved on the trophy and was to be corrected when they had their 1993 entry inscribed.

Therefore in conclusion, did Stocksbridge play an ineligible player in the final? And, was the cup taken from them and awarded to Mexborough? Maybe this could be your next research project. Wink

A couple more final results for you, involing Frickley Colliery/Athletic.

1966/67 Frickley Colliery 4-1 Norton Woodseats (after extra time)
1968/69 Norton Woodseats 1-0 Frickley Colliery
1970/71 Rawmarsh Welfare 3-1 Frickley Colliery
1978/79 Frickley Athletic 3-2 Mexborough Town
1981/82 Match never played - Tie awarded to Worksop Town

Not sure of the exact venues but none were played at Westfield Lane.

My mistake! - You're right 68/69 was Redfearn Sports.

Just noticed on your Wikipedia page that you've put Mexborough Town as Worksop's opponents in the 1981/82 final which never took place rather than Frickley Athletic.

Some more.......

1970 Worksop Town 2-1 Dinnington Athletic - at Hard Lane, Kiveton.
1974 Frecheville CA 0-0 Worksop Town - at Hard Lane, Kiveton.
replay Frecheville CA 2-1 Worksop Town - at Hard Lane, Kiveton.
1977 Mexborough Town 2-1 Worksop Town - at Bramall Lane.
1980 Emley 2-0 Worksop Town - at Oakwell.

The Tigers do seem to have a habit of losing, don't they? Unsure
