If they're joining another league at all.

Their website news pages haven't been updated since September and their Twitter since May 2011. All I can find, albeit a cursory search, is the NWCL statement on their resignation in March.

Northwood, Threave Rovers, Arsenal, Watford, Rochdale, Rangers (the real ones, NOT qpr), queen of the south and a few others.

I've heard that Flixton are going into the Lancashire & Cheshire Amateur League but nothing official yet.

Villa have agreed use of Flixton's ground for next season and Victoria are appealing against NPL's decision to deny them permission to play out of there, (presumably because Flixton [once we find out in what league] & Villa are already using the ground next season).

Looks like the N.Victoria board are doing everything they can to not have to travel to Stafford every other week.

Apart from that, if Vics go to Flixton they should be in One North which would probably mean Goole or New Mills returning south when in all likelihood they have already started building their teams with a view to playing in north.

Managers on holiday so no team built as yet.

Am I missing something or were Northwich accepted into the league on the basis that they had a ground to play at (on a certain date) (as in Stafford)

In the NPL clubs are asked by the fixture makers to list their nine longest and nine shortest journeys. When I asked whether fo the purposes of my calculations I was to assume that Northwich were playing at Stafford I was told 'yes'.

West Didsbury & Chorlton in, Flixton out and no Widnes FC!

Since the AGM last weekend, the League has received a number of enquiries regarding an application from a club known as Widnes FC to join our competition.

In the early part of this year, the League had been approached by representatives of the club, who currently do not play in one of our Step 7 feeder leagues, with a view to making an application, and the matter was referred by the League to the FA.

League Secretary John Deal explained: “We have been made aware that a meeting was held between representatives of Widnes FC and the FA in early June. This meeting highlighted some issues regarding the application, and as a result the club then advised that they would be withdrawing their application to join our League for season 2012-13.

“The club has stated that their intention is to work towards submitting another application to join our League at some point in future”.

July 13th I believe.

I think even if the FA allow Northwich Vics to play at Flixton, it will be in NP1S, as I don't think the NPL will force New Mills or Goole to change (unless they want to, but I doubt that). I'm not sure Flixton has the grade anyway.
