Nothing we had not heard about already, in fact thing all "our" rumours on the league seem to have been correct.

More odd goings on in Sussex with the chairman allegedly overruling his committee and going with a 22-18-14 divisional split.

So what exactly WILL the 22-18-14 constitution be then?

Which four teams will be the beneficiaries?

Obviously Little Common Albion are one of them.

They can't announce the line up for certain until Dorking Wanderers' appeal is heard next week. It's either them or Loxwood for Division 1. Reading that forum, it appears Peter Bentley (league chairman) wanted Dorking in Division 1 but the clubs have voted against it.
It was also the clubs that voted in favour of a 22 team Division 1.
I can't see why some people on there are so upset. It appears the league's management committee wanted one thing, Bentley wanted another, the clubs voted on it at the AGM, end of story.
Bear in mind PB is on the FA's Leagues Committee as well so his wish of getting Div 1 up to 22 is clearly based on what's been said in their recent meetings.

DW/Loxwood to Div.1 & LCA to Div.2 just makes 21/18/15 as far as I see though?

Littlehampton & Pease Pottage Village then.

Some confusion here I fancy.
As I see it Littlehampton (4th in D2) will definitely go up. Loxwood (5th) will go up if Dorking Wanderers' appeal fails, which would seem probable. The other issue is that Broadbridge Heath will probably go up to D2 ahead of PPV because of ground grading. Either way the outcome is 22/18/14, with presumably the hope that D3 will be back to 16 in 2013/14 and so be confirmed as Step 7. Where the additional clubs will come from is interesting, D3 now has so much of a western bias that Hollington United, for example, have a mini Northern League issue.

If thats true - and the rumours of a 22-18-14 split are true - that would leave Sussex Division Three with only 13 clubs - for Step 7 status, which they've just been granted (when they had 16 members) they need a minimum of 14 clubs!

Forest's resignation may impact the entire league and force them to revert to a 20-18-15 format instead!

Yes i am in Devon thank you. I have access to wi fi Internet when it works. For whatever reason the SCFL Chairman emailed club officials prior to the AGM stating 22 teams in Div 1 was necessary this season despite the Management Committee stating 20 this season and 22 next season as they needed to keep the number sup in Div 3 for Step 7 status. The management committee were not included in the email but found out about it and as a result the league president resigned prior to the AGM (He is a long standing friend of the Chairman), at the AGM the Chairman got his way and now the Vice Chairman has resigned and issued a strongly worded letter to the Chairman stating how unhappy he is with the way things have gone and the potential damage to the Division 3 Step 7 Status as result of Division 1 having 22 teams. This letter was copied out to people by email and has since been forwarded on and on (I have seen the email). I think this matter will run and run and it will be interesting to see if anything will come out when Dorking Wanderers FC have their appeal heard this week as it has been alleged some people on the SCFL promised them promotion if they finished in the top 3 irrespective of their ground status at the time of their grading visit. It has also been alleged that Chichester City are now contemplating an appeal to the FA regarding their demotion to Div 2 as the reason given to them was that relegation was due to them failing to fulffil 2 fixtures last season and not for finishing in the bottom 3. As they say watch this space.

This is not the first time this allegation has been made. in season 2005/2006 St Francis Rangers, then in Division 2, alleged that during their grading inspection they were told that as long as the work had started they would get promotion to Division 1 if they finished in the top 3. They finished third but were refused promotion.

Pleasing but very surprising. How often do clubs win appeals against ground grading issues?

Wanderers aren't a Division One club yet. That's subject to a grading visit to the ground next week.
Like the others, I'm wondering what was in those 40 odd pages of documents. It must be more than a simple ground grading issue as we know the FA are strict on that. Look at Guildford last year and other clubs before them.

Which means if Forest do fold/merge with Roffey then the Sussex County League will lose its Step 7 status altogether!

Will the league lose their Step 7 status this season if the club has folded after the league constitution was agreed at the AGM ? Does anyone know what would happen to a league which currently has step 7 status but had teams withdraw during the season to take them below 14 clubs ? Would they lose step 7 status there and then or wait until the start of the following season to see if they can get back up to minimum numbers ?

I would think that is the likely reason that the league have refused to accept their resignation at the moment. The merger seems unlikely as some one claiming to be from Roffey FC has gone on the Nomad Forum and stated this is the case.
