From the league website. http://www.kentleague.com/

Premier Division

Herne Bay have been promoted into the Ryman Isthmian League 1st Division South. Whyteleafe FC have been placed into the Kent League following relegation from the Ryman Isthmian League 1st Division South.
Rochester United (formerly Bly Spartans) have been promoted from the Kent Invicta League.

This means there are 17 teams in this division for the coming season.

Reserves Division

There will be a single reserves division for 2012-13.

Faversham Town, Erith & Belvedere, Folkestone Invicta and Welling United have all withdrawn their reserves side. Rusthall reserves have joined making a division of 14 teams.

Rule Changes

The FA imposed changes to the standard rules and these were accepted en bloc.

This is the first I've heard about changes to the standard rules this season. I wonder what they are. They must have changed for every league in the NLS.

VP, I have seen the changes to the SSML league rules and they are all from the FA and are for the standard set of rules.

So the Kent League need to find three clubs for 2013/2014 in order to survive. Could be tough.

They are having discussions with the FA about it before the start of this season.

If a club gets promoted they need four.
But under the existing rules there is no way they can do it so its up to the FA to provide a solution.
I am convinced they will.

Thats my point the Kent league can't poach and they can hardly ask for four clubs to be promoted from the KIL.
The FA said its got to be done and they know the Kent league can't do it.
So they will have to organise something or the KPL will be in big trouble.
I think the FA will and there will not be a problem.

Ashford United, Woodstock Park, Erith & Dartford Town have the facilties to make up the 3 and with Lewisham Borough having lights they could make up a 4th although they may fall down on other requirements

Both in the Combined Counties rather than KIL. but logically the FA could move them next season anyway. Whyteleafe placement makes them look a geographical anomaly more than us IMO.

By 31st March 2013 several KIL clubs should have grade F.
Its the KIL losing 4 clubs that is the problem.
Also even if the KIL have 6/7 clubs that could go up there is no guarantee that they will finish in the top four places.
Have to wait and see what the FA come up with.
