HERE; http://full-time.thefa.com/...lectedLeague=2880396

Div 1 - loses Richmond Town to Wearside League
Looks like Dormans are now Endeavour
Darlington Gramm SRA who finished bottom of div 1 have gone

Div 2 - bottom team Mill Hill have gone.
Runners up Guisborough Town res didn't go up (winners Darlington Rugby club & 3rd placed redcar did go up) and seem to have become AFC Guisborough, unless that is a new club. Only 10 teams, unless new applicants are waiting in the wings....

Indeed 27 teams in 2 divisions

14 in the 1st and 13 in the 2nd

The above are correct in addition 3 new teams for next season in Division 2

Thirsk Falcons
Lingdale (from Eskvale & Cleveland League)
Bedale Town

On a personal note, must try to do more in this league!

Thirsk and Bedale are from the Harrogate League, Bedale having dropped out of the Teeside mid-season a few years back.

Nice to see Richmond Town make some progress.

Last new ground: Wimborne-Cuthbury

Steps 1-4 are a duty, step 5 to be hoped for and steps 6-whatever are an occasional option.

Nice to see Thirsk and Bedale in there. Two very handy teams.

Bedale won the North Riding Challenge Cup, beating Thirsk in the final. Thirsk knocked out two Teesside League clubs on their way to the final.

Thirsk pipped Bedale to the league title after beating them twice late in the season.

Tell me if I am being stupid.

Football in the far north of the country isnt my area, but given that the Teeside league has been granted Step 7 status for next year, as well as the Wearside continuing to have Step 7 status, does this mean that both Redcar Athletic and their Reserves will be playing in the same tier of football but in different leagues?

As both league websites mention them for the forthcoming season!

That is correct - a bit of a cock up and lack of communication between the two leagues and the with the FA.

A similar thing has happened where the Humber Premier League has also been granted Step 7 status - which means Westella & Willerby (in the CML North) and their Reserve side (in the Humber PL) will also be playing at the same level as each other next season! Slightly ridiculous!

But that might not be the worse case - if the Mercian Regional League is granted Step 7 status - then Whitchurch Alport Reserves could be a level higher than the first team in the Cheshire League Division Two!

Guisborough Town Reserves stopped using the Social Club facilities last year and were never really a proper reserve team as there was no interaction between the Northern League team and them.

Having said that the Reserves were managed and consisted of players with the town of Guisborough in their hearts and they have to be thanked for that and the good times spent in the club - unfortunately due to a misunderstanding early in the season which led to the reserves choosing to use a pub in the town, this sadly led to a breakdown in the relationship.

Guisborough Town was going to have a new reserve team in a new Under 21 League which was going to be set up by the North Riding FA so it was communicated to the Teesside League team that they could not use the name anymore.

There will be a Guisborough Town FC now in the Under 21 League South Division set up by Durham FA which will be play on a Sunday and the team is very much a development team which can feed into the Northern League First Division squad where appropriate to give the players a chance to progress to higher levels. Whilst the team has its own management they work very closely with training and should mirror the same style of play as the Northern League team.

Thanks for that prioryman. Will the AFC side still play on the Town ground?

The old reserves team did not play at the KGV Stadium anyway as they played on the KGV Playing fields so I assume they will still play there.

Here is some background on the new Under 21s team from our last press release.

In a bid to rejuvenate the nurturing of new young footballing talent within the club, Hardy has also appointed Gary Forster to the new position of Team Development Manager. He will be in charge of Town’s new Academy style Development Side, who will play in the Russell Foster Under 21s South Division.

It is hoped will that under Forster’s guiding hand the new Academy team will act as a ‘feeder’ to the Northern League squad.

The Development Side will start their new season on 9 September.

Hardy commented: “I’m delighted to welcome all the newcomers to our management team and feel they will add real strength and depth to our backroom capabilities.

“I am particularly determined to further promote the development side of the club and the appointment of Gary Forster and the remit he will have represents a completely new direction that I want us to move in."

Far from it.
Anybody intersted in the North East ( or Yorkshire!) would confirm the Wearside League was more senior than the Teesside.

I may be in something of a minority, but I look to go to a game and or ground first and second. Whether it is level 1, 7, or 11 is irrelevant
