Euro 2012 Dream Team Can't Post or Reply Privately

Anybody doing a dream team for this competition?
Which country do you fancy to do well?
Who is your favourite player?

I answer...

Yes, in a mini league.
Germany.
Philipp Lahm.

Slightly alarmed by this post. Overnight, LondonBuck appears to have turned into a German. Is the process reversible, and if not, who's going to tell Cody?

I think LondonBuck is very bored.

Was Cody one of the Von Trapp kids?

Yes. To achieve a return to balance he has to spend some time with Gareth. Tongue

That woke you all up Laugh

Seriously though I have no reason to dislike Germany, particularly as they consistently play good football and as a country have provided me with a number of excellent metal music bands to enjoy including the lovely Helen Vogt!
And not to mention the fact it is a nice country.
Sorry I am not old enough to hold a grudge.

I hope they win the tournament as I also have in my dream team Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Gotze and Podolski Cool

I'll be watching it. Who'll do well? The usual suspects...Germany, Spain, Italy, etc.

No, I'm not doing a dream team.

Roll on Wednesday 1st August when I'll be back to actually going to a match. Cool

I recommend Jack Butland, Cheltenham's goalkeeper for most of last season#, and England's third* choice. I think it is unlikely he will let in any goals during Euros.

*Technically, 4th choice, he was added to the squad when Ruddy was injured

So you're a Spain fan now?

My younger brother is like you in that he becomes a fan of whoever looks likely to win (club-wise) but then he has a mental age of 8. He does of course follow just his own national team

You must hate FA Cup upsets..........

Unpalatable as it obviously is for you, England ARE your national team - you just choose other teams because they're more likely to win I'd be interested to see if any other posters turn their backs on their own team in order to support a winning Premiership team as you suggest 50% might do......... My club team isn't that good either but they'll always be my team. My only team.

This is true unfortunately, but I support Germany because they play entertaining football, not because they are more likely to win, as proved.

I have never supported any premiership team, most people will always claim to support one of the big clubs even if they have no connection with the area. I only support Telford and when questioned "yes but who else do you support?" I say Witham.
I don't think any of the 50% of pretend premiership team supporters will be found on this site, they probably don't even know it exists! I am confident only real fans like yourself post on here
