Or maybe the NL have just got it wrong of course.... Nope, it's official. The new name is on the FA's Find A Club. They've also changed their website but there's not much on the new one yet apart from a statement regarding the change. The process started in December so the talk of certain committee members not knowing about it appears to be false. From - http://celticnation.com/ This change follows Gillford Park Football Club's decision to transfer all of its assets and liabilities to a limited liability company as agreed by resolution at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the club's Committee on December 28, 2011. The resolution was unanimously approved by all members of the committee and signed by the Gillford Park Football Club Chairman, Mr. Donald Cameron and its Secretary, Mr Mike Linden for submission by Mr. Linden to the relevant football authorities. Following submission of the EGM resolution and all other documents required by the FA, Mr. Linden was then informed by the Cumberland FA that the limited company transaction had been approved. Upon approval of the transaction by the Cumberland FA, the limited company decided to seek the approval of the Cumberland FA to change the name of the football team to Celtic Nation FC. Upon approval of the name change by the Cumberland FA, application was made to the Northern League for its acceptance of the limited company transfer and for permission for the team to compete as Celtic Nation FC in the coming season. Following submission of the required documents to the Northern League, the limited company transfer and team name change were confirmed by the Northern League at its Annual General Meeting on June 2nd.
