Dunno about OJ but from what I've read about the case against Titus Bramble I am amazed that it even got to court.

Now that the distraction of Euro 2012 is over, Terry can focus on the far more important matter of his trial.

Quote
John Terry's legal team might make a bad character application against Anton Ferdinand during his racism trial, a court has heard.

The ex-England captain, 31, will stand trial at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 9 July accused of a racially-aggravated public order offence.

Mr Terry's barrister, George Carter-Stephenson QC, has now said he is considering making the application.

....

Mr Carter-Stephenson said: "There is likely to be an application for bad character against Mr Ferdinand about two incidents."

No details were given about what these incidents were.

A ten month sentence of which he'll serve half. It should have been ten years with no half measures. I hope those of a homosexual persuasion take a liking to him in the showers. It would go some way to making up for the tap on the wrist the judge has given him! Mad

Actually the vast majority of 'shower' incidents tend to be frustrated horny 'straight' people out of 'neccesity' in an all-male environment.
Gay men in prison are actual more victims of sexual attacks, rather than the perpetrators of them. That is not to say there are not rapes in showers of straight men, as you are implying.
Though, of course, there are many consensual sexual realtionships in prison, as well.
Plenty of 'straight' prisoners indulge in 'men on men' sex inside, but class themselves as 100% straight once released, and do not look for male partners on the outside.

I see what you're trying to say...he's a despicable character probably, I don't know him, but he's been jailed for badly hurting people in a drunken tear-up. Are you really saying he should be raped as a punishment?

I'm saying I'm sick of hearing about violent criminals getting short sentences that in no way reflect the seriousness of their crimes and maybe if he suffered some sort of physical abuse while inside it will make him think twice about committing a similar offence on his release.

From what I see on ch4 this week, then I think prison will be a treat rather than a punishment.

Exactly, inmates have a better standard of living than many law abiding people on the outside

As is always said by people who haven't been to prison. despite the perceived image of prsion being a cushy number, I have yet to meet ANYONE who I have known, friends, or 'friends of friends' who have done time and agree with this misconception.

I've been inside a few prisons, not as an inmate, and its not a misconception. The level of repeat offending speaks for itself.
