Tom Keogh stands down as Chairman [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Sutton Coldfield Town Football Club regret to announce that Tom Keogh has decided for personal reasons to stand down from his role as Chairman of the club.
The Board would like to place on record their appreciation for the work that Tom has done over the last ten years. Tom has spent countless hours working to ensure that all areas of activity, on and off the pitch, were in good order and has always been a great ambassador for the club.

Tom said, “I have been involved with football clubs for 27 years as secretary or chairman and it’s time to take a break and recharge the batteries”.

An announcement will be made by the Board next week regarding the appointment of a new Chairman. For any matters in the meantime, please contact Neil Murrall, General Secretary, on 07535 354688 or murralln@gmail.com.

New Manager Appointed [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

A weekend of activity ...

Chris Keogh Resigns
Sutton Coldfield Town FC have announced that long standing manager Chris Keogh has resigned from his position and will immediately take a seat on the board of directors at the club.
After 12 years at the helm, Chris has decided to move away from the dressing room and direct management of the football team whilst still remaining active in his new capacity at the club.

The club hope to make an announcement within the next 48 hours regarding the vacant management position.

The board wish to place on record their thanks to Chris for all his efforts and hard work over the years and all at Coles Lane will now look forward to the start of a new era for the club.

New Manager Appointed

Sutton Coldfield Town FC are please to announce that Neil Tooth has been appointed first team manger with immediate effect.
After Chris Keogh's resignation on Saturday, the board of directors moved swiftly to fill the vacant position and Neil steps up from his role as assistant manager with the club.

Neil will be looking to get things back on track as quickly as possible after the disappointing exit from both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy over the last two weeks.

Chairman Nick Thurston said "Neil was the clear favourite for the job after Chris stepped down and deserves his chance. Everyone at the club..... players, supporters, everyone..... now needs to get behind him and help us achieve the success on the pitch that we all want to see". http://www.pitchero.com/...ttoncoldfieldtownfc/

Mr Bowden-Brown kindly answered our request for help as the Club was in a very difficult situation, he has come on board and hopefully we can get issues resolved and the club can move forward.

Colin.

And finally some good news from Thamesmead, last night was the first time I have seen the new 3G pitch being used, the Mead and Soham players used it to warm up on before last night's game and also other people were utilising it.

Also in his programme notes, our Gaffa stated that he felt things were heading towards a resolution on the new building so we hope that we will get in there sooner rather than later and the club can begin to build a brighter future, what the club has achieved and continues to achieve is amazing considering the level of support we have.

Up the Mead.

Colin.

Quorn FC, who are riding high in the United Counties League Premier Division, have dismissed Manager Tommy Brookbanks and his assistant Mark Harvey. It seems that they have gone after refusing to select someone's grandson. Fourteen players are said to have walked out in protest.

Madness! Pretty sure he could have come back to us for the rest of the season. We're still crying out for a decent left back.

I think it's a case of fitting it in with his full time job at Chelsea's academy, and also wanting to help out his home town club. I also think, playing junior football in the same youth team as our manager may have had something to do with it. Made his debut on Saturday against Eastbourne Town and looked in a class of his own as you'd expect. Good banter with the fans and played the whole game with a massive smile on his face.
