Does this imply that Daventry United and Rothwell Town have both folded?

Daventry announced they were folding at the end of the season some time ago. To the best of my knowledge that is not the case with Rothwell Town, who were in administration the last I heard and could simply be looking to cut costs by playing at a lower level.

Northampton Spencer and Thrapston Town both requested to be relegated, although in Thrapston's case that became irrelevant given their finishing position. Demoted is an unfair description really but it is the one that the UCL have chosen to use. Harrowby United are currently known as Beehive United and are playing in the Grantham & District League, where they will be playing a title decider on Thursday if Mitoo is to be believed.

Inaccurate description. Northampton Spencer should be described as 'Voluntary Relegation'. Thrapston Town a bit more complicated. Relegated is the 'obvious' except that given that elsewhere the United Premier Division has one more 'out' at the end of this season than 'in' wouldn't they have been reprieved? So should their exit be described as 'Relegated turned down Reprieve' or 'Relegated' pure and simple, or 'Voluntary Relegation', which could be the most accurate if their request was made before their position at the foot of the table was sealed over the final weekend of April? 'Demoted' would make sense if either the true sequence of events was relegated, offered reprieve, accepted reprieve, then sent down anyway, or if they had been earmarked for Division One since the end of March due to ground grading issues. What is the right way to record this for posterity?

Same ground, same name but different team. Beehive were champions last season and if they win their last game they will be champions this season. Don' think they currently play at Harrowby.

Whatton United came out of the Grantham League two seasons ago to the CML, sadly they only lasted one year. Their ground was the one used in the ITV comedy seriies Outside Edge a few years ago.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but does anyone know where Buckingham Town will play home games next season? I half expected that they as well as Rothwell Town would resign.

What's the issue with Harborough Town? If they've not got a good enough ground, surely no ruling required. Also, wasn't it talked about Oadby Town moving into the UCL?

I think with Harborough the question is whether the required ground improvements were completed in time. Oadby were very keen to join the Premier Division should they finish in the top two of the East Midlands League. They finished 3rd, but then again Bugbrooke seem to have been promoted from 3rd place in UCL 1.

They couldn't promote Oadby without promoting Boorowash Victoria though surely??

Its a provisional constitution, the UCL coud include Oadby in their top flight, because they fall within their area which, whereas Borrowash dont.

I think Oadby will move into the UCL

Beehive United are playing from the old Harrowby United ground now, because Harrowby Athletic who have played their most of this season have folded
Their pitch at the start of the season was Harrowby lane playing fields which is a council owned pitch next door

Beehives last game and title decider is a week on Thursday - May 31st at Barrowby, who are the only team that can stop them winning the title
therefore title will be presented on the night and also bring the curtain down on the season

Oadby only wanted to move to the UCL if they were handed a Premier Division place. They will stay in the East Midlands Counties rather than take a sideways move to Division One. Bit of an arrogant attitude if you ask me.

Not at all, if they could come they would, but it would make sense to stay, as there would be less travelling in the EMC compared to UCL1

compared to the Midland Alliance yes
What they said to me - was if they finish in a promotion position they would like to switch to the UCL as mileage would be considerably less
if they didnt they would still like to switch even though the travelling in the EMC is slightly less than UCL1

can't see what all the problem is, we have applied for the ucl. if in a promotion place we wanted premier division, if not we would take ucl one. not trying to be big headed or taking a short cut. if we can't move we stay were we are, but if anyone of you has been to oadby, it can be a nightmare to get to the m1, a five mile journey can take half an hour, sometimes longer at night. market harborough which is 10 miles away can be reached in fifteen minutes straight on the A14. makes sense to me. end off.
