Go.......................................

Edit: To get the ball rolling. Everyone can have a "free" starter question between now and 6pm. Line them up and I'll update after 6pm, then normal rules will apply.

Good Luck all......

A club?

[can I stick my newbie oar in here and suggest that this game would benefit from following the example of the old "animal, vegetable or mineral?" starter question. Surely all answers are either animal, object or event? Animal will usually be a human being but can also cover mascots and Joey Barton; object would cover books, programmes, stadia, pitch markings, projectile coke cans etc; event = e/o. So would it not save a few same ol', same ol' questions if the "Host" just set the ball rolling by telling us which of the 3 it is?] Apologies in advance if the newbie oar rocks the boat or muddies the water!

It isn't a club. The rest isn't up to me however I do like making my own rules up every now and again. There may well be another 'happy hour' set up tomorrow if it's still going. Keep your eyes open for special offers.

Interesting thought and other subjects covered are songs,TV programmes and films which could go into event catagory and also clubs but what would you put them under (animal)? If I am hosting a game and it's looking a bit quiet on the board, I will get straight into it by saying We are looking for a ground or person etc. I would suggest whoever is hosting the game can set their own agenda but try and keep the question and guess rule from players to one a day if possible. I suggest any other comments/opinions should be put on the ambiguities thread so not to distract from this game.

Q) Is this person a footballer, past or present?

And for the banter section of this post:

1) Excellent shot doodle.

2) Oxford Stone: I know the above carries the same "ambiguity" as my question in the previous thread. I've actually lifted it verbatim from MIP in a prior thread, so at least from some of us you'll continue to see these types of questions. I at least accept the ambiguity involved in these types of questions simply to narrow the field. In the previous thread what I was really after was to figure out if we we were looking for a player who moved around a lot, or a player turned manager as it turned out to be. I needed to ask it that way since it was possible the person in question might now be considered a manager, but the reason they didn't "take anyone down this year" was that they were out of work. Paul Ince being the example I had in mind (too old to have been the answer, but someone like him could have been possible). At least for me, once I know "manager" is or is not in the resume somewhere, it can be narrowed down further as needed.

Been away for a while, thought I'd try and bang in a couple before I get summonsed back onto more "important" duties .....as she tells me!!!

Yes this person is a past or present footballer......
