Another clarification to ask. Continental Europe should be the same as Mainland Europe and should rule out any European islands so....

I'll have a guess at
The badge of 1. FC Köln with geissbock Hennes, the goat given to the club as a carnival joke by Cirkus director Carola Williams in 1950 but then adopted as a mascot.
