Pleasant surprise, though not in Mr Punk's class, that my hotel in Lampeter has full WiFi through out and I can amuse myself before tonights game.

@punkster

she actually liked to 'lick both sides of the stamp'

Considering only one side is sticky, that seems a pretty
piss poor metaphor to me...

Have just EMailed the missus.

That's all right Hoddy, she already knows. After all it did happen about 17 years before I met Mrs UKPunk. Cool

I should think that's enough stories for the boys for a while Tamzin. Of course, should I be fortunate enough to encounter your good self on my travels to matches I would of course reveal much more.

Only because I know you can keep a secret of course. xx

I can't claim authorship for that one DQ. It was a question Mrs Merton put to Boy George when she interviewed him on her show. Cool

I take it you refer to the amply proportioned Nurse Gladys? If so then yes.

Besides which, she seemed to have eyes only for you. Cool

Bit more profitable in my day, Gareth!

You won't remember 'off sales', but we used to climb over the back of the fence at 'The Greendale' & take the empty lemonade bottles straight round the front for the deposits.

When at secondary school we used to go to Herne Hill sometimes for cycling, for games, then had to make our own way home as it was the last lessons of the day. For some reason the local very posh public schoolboys from Dulwich College & Alleyns always gave us poor comprehensive boys from our Peckham establishment their spare change! Ah, the 'good old days' before blanket CCTV! ;-)

That takes me back..off sales. Many a pub had a built in section
between the two bars for what was basically the landlord's holiday fund.
I wonder if there are any left in the country?
Most probably went when it became a trend to make all pubs just one
bar only. There are few left in my conurbation with a public bar but they
are no-go areas.
I played football for my school against Alleyns, just after the '66 World Cup
if I am correct. They didn't mind playing against Grammar schools as opposed
to you Comprehensive oiks....
