Non League Matters website Can't Post or Reply Privately

I draw your attention to the announcement on 12 Feb at http://www.nonleaguematters.net/home.htm.

It'd be a damn shame if this site couldn't continue to grow in some form or other...

Great site - and really informative seeing clubs come and go, works teams almost forgotton. I'd reply directly but the contact site bit foxed this luddite so - maybe of limited help
Yorks League 1980 ish Sheffield W(ater) W(orks) to Y.W.A (Southern) name change? - probably on wiki but corporations were changed to water authourities - which were privitised
I joined Yorkshire Water Plc or some such in 1990 - but the organisation was in 4 divisions - Western, Eastern, Southern and Central I think. So petty sure its a continuation.
I was told they still had a team in southern - Sheff Works League? Anyway probable ground was on Crookes Road nr jn with Lydgate lane - but possibly Uni housing now? boy did I love it when jobworth told us to git off his pitch and produced my Sports and Social card (small victories)
ps I played for Blackurn Meadows STW (twin towers J34 m1 / meadowhall at the time) in their summer cup final victory over the accounts department at Aldwarke STW - (in another post I said oh the fines - but oh the flies)

It would be a blow if the Non League Matters site disappeared.
If Roger does decide he doesn't wish to continue, and is agreeable,
is there not the option of incorporating it into this site ?

Now that the Non League Tables site has disappeared is it not possible
to ask the site owner if that information can transferred to this site.

Finally with regard to the Non League Tables site it can still be accessed
by using the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine. A very useful site.

I'm still increasing the amount of league tables I hold for when the F.C.H.D. re-appears!

If Roger is agreeable, how about a combined effort to get the material onto a new host and continuing the work. I'm sure there would be a number of us who could set it up and maintain the work til Roger could take it over again when he feels ready. Shared passwords would enable a number of people could access the work and add to it as necessary. It's worth a thought...

And looking forward to the updated FCHD, Richard!

I think some good news everyone. I have spoken to Roger and he feels fairly confident that he will be able to keep the site up and running, things may slow down a bit whilst he is involved in the house move, but that is understandable.

He did say that all the messages of support and offers of help have been flooding in and those have helped to make him determined to keep the site going. So well done one and all for supporting Roger and the site.

Paul
