As the RoI is part of the EU, as are we for the time being, I wouldn't have thought so. After all how many Paddies do you know have visas to work here?

Northwood, Threave Rovers, Arsenal, Rangers (the real ones, NOT qpr),Watford, Rochdale, queen of the south and a few others.

Not only don't you need a visa to go and work in Ireland, but technically you don't even need a passport to go there. Although in practice you do, because the ferries and airlines insist on them.

Go on then. Are you going to tell us how you will be gainfully employed in the Emerald Isle ? Let me guess one of:-

1.Taster for Guinness
2.Leprachaun Catcher
3.Clover/Shamrock Gatherer
4.Potato Farmer
5.Peat Bog Analyst

That's enough Irish stereotypes.Don't forget to kiss the Blarney stone while you are there. You maybe rewarded with the gift of literacy Tongue

Just one snag, the unemployment situation in Ireland is worse than it is here.
Why not try Greece instead?
