Latest on Kettering http://www.bbc.co.uk/.../0/football/18190475 They are having to apply to join Southern League, rather than an FA placed demotion, so what if they are not voted in? It is being suggested a 2 division drop for the proposed CVA and starting on minus 10 points. Will a two division drop be from Conference National where they last played or from Step 2 Conference Semi-National (North) that they were already relegated to? They finished the season and were in a relegation place so should be relegated to SL Central. When R&D were going to be re-located to the SL they were to be placed in to the SL Prem but there were not relegated on the field. Under FA rules (section 14 of the FA handbook), if there's been an insolvency event, unless the creditors are paid in full (non-football creditors over no more than 3 years) by the AGM, a club will be relegated one step, in addition to any relegation from the current season. So being placed in SLP is the logical position. Actually I have a possible reason why they resigned. As far as I can tell, they haven't actually entered administration or undergone another Insolvency event yet, just indicated an intention to do so. Perhaps I'm being altruistic but perhaps this is to avoid the chaos of late reprievals etc? Whenever they enter their first Insolvency Event, they'll be due a 10 point penalty also. However, if they agree a CVA after the AGM (unless paying in full as above), they would be relegated again next season whatever happens on the pitch....
