Nawab of Pataudi Can't Post or Reply Privately

The death has just been announced of the Nawab of Pataudi. He was 70 and had been in poor health for some time.

He was a former captain of the Indian cricket team and as a stylish batsman his quality of play was greatly admired.

His leadership, along with the management of the Maharajah of Baroda, brought a wonderful Imperial standard to his national team.

His considerable influence within Indian cricket will be sorely missed.

The cricketer you refer to was the 9th Nawab, his father the 8th Nawab played cricket for both England and India, captaining the latter.
He was officially stripped of his title in 1971 by the Indian Government.
