... notwithstanding the bloody battle of the Ds and Ts above - thought it worth mentioning that the OFA site and Ardley's club site both show the 3rd round tie as:

Tue 20/12 Ardley Utd v AFC Hinksey 19:30 KO according to the former.

... and shouldn't 'Reserves' be spelled 'Nomads'? Wink

I think that is a fantastic result all round (with respect to OUFC fans). Apparently North Leigh played very well, and I can't help but think that with Oxford United out most of the other sides still involved will quite fancy their chances of winning the competition, especially with Banbury and OCFC still to play eachother. United (along with Banbury) have dominated this cup for a few years now, but the best of the recent finals have definitely been when Oxford City beat Hook Norton 3-2 in 2003 and when North Leigh ran rings around Banbury (2-0) in 2008. I'm sure Ardley will be confident, and Thame might be a good outside bet too on current form.

Banbury United have been removed from the competition for playing a player not registered in time for the fixture.

Oxford City will take their semi-final spot.

North Leigh beat Oxford City 5-0 in tonight's final, perhaps not an entirely surprising result given that City have a rearranged league fixture at Hemel on Thursday.

Looks from the line-up in the Oxford Mail that a number of the players were from their Football Conference Youth Alliance team, interesting to see what action the O.F.A. take Mad.

Think the O.F.A handbook says something about Ducking Stool at Folly Bridge and Stocks on Carfax.

Why did they not just field their Nomads squad that is running away with the Hellenic (and promotion to the Southern/Isthmian?) then they would have won easily!

The Nomads have also taken part in the competition so most of their players would be ineligible.
