Why did their resignation not reprieve Shepshed Dynamo from their own division?
Is it because they resigned after the season finished?

From what is being said by Forestman on the General Forum in-league reprieves have a cut-off date. The Glapwell & Retford withdrawals came after whatever that date was, therefore the reprieves created went to the clubs with the best ppg. I just wish the FA would show more transparency in their decision making, before and after the fact.

I am only assuming there is a cutoff date simply because on the FA site they state that Beaconsfield SYCOB and Waltham Forest were reprieved because of the withdrawals of Retford and Glapwell. Perhaps the cutoff was last weekend as both clubs resigned this week and the proposed league constitutions were to be announced this week.. I do fully agree with you though, as i have said on another thread, the FA should make it totally clear as to how reprieves will be allocated net season, long before the end of the season so we are all clear as to what will happen.

why not do away with reprieves & promote extra.then again we'll end up arguing about who deserves promotion!

Whether you prefer reprieves or more promotions the key is to have a system of ranking teams in place so everyone knows who is next on the list. If it needs to change after a certain date that can easily enough be worked in.

Glapwell have gone down to the Central Midlands if this article is to be believed. Any comments???

This is possibly because of the ground they will be playing at next season.

I don't know where they are intending to play but maybe they haven't managed to get anything with a Step 5 or 6 grading.
