I agree everything about Rochefort 10 being a fantastic bottled beer.

Anchor - Liberty Ale
Buxton - Tsar

Nice, but not a patch on Youngs Double Chocolate Stout.

Rest have been pretty much mediocre by and large.

I would also have to agree with Young's Special London Ale, also bottle-conditioned.

Meantime London Porter is also very nice, again bottle-conditioned, and comes in a 750ml bottle with a cork. A fine example of the style. 6.5% abv

Ditto Meantime's 7.5% IPA (i.e. 750ml corked bottle, bottle-conditioned). Much nearer to a genuine 19th century IPA than some of the miserable draught beers labelled as such, all of which would fail authentication if there were a legal definition of the style. Greene King's 'product' is the worst example of this deception.

NB The Meantime products come in at £5-£6.

Now you're getting technical Gareth. Tongue

My knowledge of beer only extends to those I've tried and whether I like them or not. I'm certainly not an expert. I can't afford to be for a start. Unsure

I'm sure one or two on here will soon post with their recommendations though.

Hopback's Taiphoon.

Beer with a lemongrass taste. Gorgeous slightly chilled in the warm weather we're currently having. ala a German wheatbeer

Anyone with any queries or need any help planning a trip to Fareham Town FC - give me a bell.

Any pre 1979-80 Fareham Town programmes wanted plus any further memorabilia/press etc.

Check out the clubs twitter page at www.twitter.com/farehamtownfc
