Five Points brewing company, Railway Porter!
Never tasted any Porter as good as that! Absolutely incredible flavour!
Three pints downed in the Hare & Hounds, Leyton. Tongue

Had a bottle of German Wheat beer called Weihenstephaner, it was absolutely delicious, flavours of Apple, cloves and nutmeg. Tongue
Anyone else tried this or similar wheat beer?
I hear Erdinger is another worth trying.

Erdinger is one of my favourite beers - the dark one is especially good

I have heard of it but never seen it for sale. It does sound nice.

What strength is it ?

Just had a look for it online - 5.3%. It is called Dunkel. Looks like it is readily available from Tesco.

Many thanks Rambler.

We don't have a large Tesco in Dorking, but we do have a very large Waitrose, right next to my local, so I'll check in there later today.

Sainsburys is offering my current favourite Belgian beer, Blue Moon, at 1.50 a bottle. The drawback - it doesn't come from Belgium but Denver Colorado. Still I can get mile high on it.

Dunkel is a style of beer, not a brand.

I'm on the darkside and can recommend Coal Face Porter a smooth 5% from Merry Miner and a more powerful XPA Black from Bucks which justifies its 7.2% rating.

This is the time of year when I buy supermarkets' own bitter.

Not for for me, obviously Crazy, but poured out in bowls outside, slugs lap it up and depart happily to the great garden in the sky. Way to go.
