Combined Counties League 2010-11 Can't Post or Reply Privately

This is the proposed constitution as revealed by soon-to-be league secretary Alan C. The AGM is on Friday 25th.

Premier Division (21 teams)

Ash United
Badshot Lea
Banstead Athletic
Bookham
Camberley Town
Chertsey Town
Chessington & Hook United
Colliers Wood United
Cove
Croydon
Dorking
Egham Town
Epsom & Ewell
Guildford City
Hanworth Villa
Horley Town
Mole Valley SCR (Promoted from Division 1)
Molesey
Raynes Park Vale
Sandhurst Town
Wembley

Division One (20 teams)

Bedfont Sports
CB Hounslow United
Chobham
Cobham
Croydon Municipal
Eversley
Farleigh Rovers
Farnborough North End (transferred from Wessex 1)
Farnham Town
Feltham
Frimley Green
Hartley Wintney
Hayes Gate (promoted from Middlesex League)
Knaphill
Sheerwater
South Park
Staines Lammas
Warlingham
Westfield
Worcester Park

Out:-
North Greenford United (promoted to Southern League)
Bedfont (disbanded)
Coulsdon United (relegated to Surrey Elite)
Crescent Rovers (voluntarily demoted to Surrey Elite)

The only thing that I don't get is why Coulsdon have been relegated. I could understand it if Division One had it's full compliment of 22 teams.

Are Hayes Gate still at Yeading.

22 teams in Division 1 would seem a lot considering there are plenty of non-floodlit grounds in that division.

Have the FA told the CoCo to relegate a non-floodlit team with the worst playing record?

Last ground visited(update requested by Spud): Wellington . New grounds 18/19: 38

The number of clubs without floodlights in Combined Counties Division One is reducing all the time.

Floodlit clubs (8) - Bedfont Sports, Cobham, Farnborough North End, Farnham Town, Frimley Green, Hartley Wintney, South Park, Westfield.

Clubs that will have new or upgraded lights (3) - Eversley, Knaphill, Sheerwater. Woking BC are upgrading the lights in the sports stadium. Only Knaphill will have them for the start of the season.

Groundshares (5) - Croydon Municipal, Feltham, Hayes Gate, Staines Lammas, Warlingham (Where at?).

In the planning process (2) - CB Hounslow United, Worcester Park.

Have applied in the past and turned down (1) - Farleigh Rovers. Lots of NIMBYs nearby.

Unlikely to be able to improve facilities (1) - Chobham.

The situation is fluid, and could change. I was surprised to hear about Worcester Park. Good luck to them! I hope Farleigh Rovers try again and have better luck. Feltham could move back to a new ground adjacent/near/overlapping the old Arena in the near future.

Warlingham (Where at?).

Whyteleafe. It's one of the groundshares that's been approved for at least one season.
The Ryman League are having a pre-season meeting with their member clubs on August 9th with the whole groundsharing issue being discussed at length. Apparantly it was touched on at the AGM but the league didn't really want to talk about it.

With regards Hayes Gate - first team at Hanwell as already mentioned, the reserves will be playing at Gate's ground in Springfield Road. The proposed constitution of the CCL Reserve Division isn't finalised yet.

Confirmed today on Fansfocus that Croydon Municipal are doing up their training ground in Warlingham and will be playing there 'soon'. It's already got floodlights.

Just to confirm the constitution has been confirmed as above. The Reserve Division doesn't include Hayes Gate Reserves. It appears they're staying in the Middlesex League.

CB Hounslow United

It's not been officially confirmed but it's being said that Croydon Municipal have withdrawn from the league.

Now mentioned as withdrawn from league - on the Frimley Green website (12/07) - haven't trawled round any others yet?

... expect those on the CCL distribution list might be getting a confirmation by e-mail later this week?
