Brilliant no reserve sides Smile will it still remain a feeder to the Cymru Alliance or will it one day feed straight into the WPL?

Yes, it's step 3 and 4 and I very much doubt it will feed the WPL directly in the future. There will be no reserve sides in any Welsh senior league from this season.

Last ground visited(update requested by Spud): Wellington . New grounds 18/19: 38

With "Senior" being defined as the top 4 levels, not 3 as it was previously.

Penybont Utd have withdrawn their application to join Mid Wales Division 2 thus leaving only 13 clubs. Seems like the league are getting a bit desperate as despite The AGM already having been held they are still seeking applications.

Incredibly, Defaid Du have applied for membership, and subject to a few ground improvements, have been accepted!

http://midwalesleague.pitchero.com/...-join-spar-two-2164/

They finished 8th out of 12 in last season's Montgomeryshire 2nd division, but now jump up 2 divisions. When I went there it was a just a pitch, not even roped off, about 150yds from the changing rooms. Bleak and barren on a windy November day.

Good luck to them if they think they can make the step up, but it makes a mockery of the Welsh pyramid.

..........and unfortuantely gives credence to the reasons why the likes of Merthyr Town & Colwyn Bay don't want to play in the Welsh System along with the ongoing problems regaring relagation from the MacWhirter Welsh League. It's a shame as some of the best days groundhopping can be had in the many stunning locations in Wales

It is indeed a shambles. If The Black Sheep had applied originally they would, presumably, have been rejected both because they were not in a qualifying league and due to inadequate facilities. When the deadline was extended Bishops Castle also enquired. They were in a qualifying league and probably had the facilities. They were shown the door rapidly as their ground was in England. The Mid Wales League do , of course, have form when it comes to Bishops Castle. But contrast that with The Mid Wales League allowing TNS Reserves in only 2 seasons ago and The FAW scuttling about to make sure Merthyr Town could play in an English League.
I think I am coming to the conclusion that if The FAW want their own league and an international presence then all Welsh clubs have to play in a Welsh League.
