Brothers in World Cup Finals Can't Post or Reply Privately

On the subject of World Cup Finals, there is a distinct possibility that when Germany play Ghana we might see brothers play against each other as Jerome Boeteng is in the German squad and Kevin Prince Boeteng is in the Ghana squad. Does anyone know if this is a first ??

Apparently so. It could have happened in the last World Cup in the Ivory Coast v Holland game when Bonaventure and Salomon Kalou could have faced each other. But they didn't.

Both of the Kalou brothers play internationally for Ivory Coast.
There was an attempt to get Solomon Netherland's citizenship in time for the 2006 WC, but the authorities refused to progress the application as a special case. He made his international debut in 2007.
