Five Year Plan Can't Post or Reply Privately

I remember back in 1976 that the new Tilbury FC Chair had a 'five year plan' to get the club into the Football League.
It's been a long five years!
Any other ridiculous five year plans by other clubs Chairmen?

There was a chairman at Stourbridge in the distant past who said he would deliver league football. However, to the best of my knowledge, his only legacy was a new set of curtains in the clubhouse.

Of course, other Glassboys supporters on here may know differently....

Not five year plans but in 1999 Graham Westley said Farnborough Town would be in the Premiership within 10 years.

Feltham have recently announced plans to be in the Blue Square Conference no later than 2022 which is bold to say the least.

I think Aldershot Town originally had a ten year plan for league football. They got there in 16 years so not a bad effort. It's never as easy as new owners/chairmen think though.

The Bradford Park Avenue owner/chairman said he was planning not just to play in the Premiership but in European Competition too!
Since then they have been relegated twice, so the visits of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and AC Milan have been put on hold for a while.Smile

Granham Robert's 10 year plan to get Hertford Town into the Football League. Or maybe I just dreamt it...my brain hurts a lot.

Jerry Sherman said the old Newport County would be in the top flight with a new stadium by 2000.
