SFL Div 3
Queen's Park v Albion Rovers
- pitch wrecked by U2 concert on Tuesday.

Hopefully Queen's park will be hammered with a huge fine for this.

Queen's Park are the owners of the Stadium.

In 2000, when they were in administration and 48 hours from liquidation due to their mismanagement of the reconstruction of the ground, they were forced to contract-out the stadium management to Hampden Park Limited, a subsidiary of the SFA. Approximately 6 million of taxpayers money was given to Queen's Park to get them out of the mess. At that point they could have been told to stop playing their matches at Hampden and use Lesser Hampden instead, but the blazerati old-boy network ensured they would continue to use Hampden as their home ground.

The least they could do is ensure that their matches take priority.

I also have a deep-seated dislike for Queen's Park FC.

Were the 7,000 U2 fans who were locked in the Don Valley for a few days and forced to watch Rotherham v Accrington Stanley the other week the ones who ruined the Quuens Park pitch ?.

I was at Rotherham v. Rochdale yesterday (a revisit for me - I had seen a Sheffield FC home game there in 92-93) and you should have seen the pitch. 40% of it had gone a yellowish colour due to the U2 concert on Thursday!
