Proceedure question Can't Post or Reply Privately

With the Unibond Premier running one club short following the withdrawal of Newcastle Blue Star what will happen at the end of the coming season.
Will they look to promote 13 clubs from Step 5 or will the knock on effect reprieve one of the relegated 12 step 4 clubs on the ppg basis?

When this happened in the Southern League Midland a couple of seasons ago when Slimbridge quit before the season started they just decided to relegate only one club at the end of the season instead of two.

I understand the Unibond Prem will relegate 3 in 2009/10.

Ok. But do you know how the knock on effect at step 4 will be dealt with.

Given the pooling system that is supposed to operate, would it not be the 19th placed club in the Isthmian/Southern/Northern Premier with the highest points which is reprieved, not specifically the one in the NPL?

No. The 19th placed sides in all 3 will be relegated (subject to other events), there just won't be a 22nd team in NPP.

The knock-on effect at step 4 will be a pooled reprieval, if previous years are anything to go by. Theoretically they could go for saying 13 step 5 could be promoted, but I think it's a safe bet that we won't get 13 qualifiers anyway.

Re: [oftenscore6] Proceedure question [In reply to] Can't Post or

I hope the NCEL and NWCFL who always have plenty of qualifers don't have to promote 3 or 4 at a time like they've had to in recent years.

One side I think will be at Step 4 next season (10/11) is New Mills Cool missed out on goal difference despite getting 104 points.

Perhaps I should clarify qualifiers as meaning top placed team in their division with a suitable ground for step 4; and in the top 2 of that division.

I don't expect any step 5 league to provide more than 1 team, I think generally they will just reprieve step 4 sides if not enough step 5 sides do qualify for promotion.
