Not on my list yet - anyone heard that FA Arges might drop out of the Romanian League?

Excellent stuff.

Just one thing - weren't Inverness relegated from the Scottish Premier rather than Falkirk?

Other teams followed (in no particular order): Littlehampton Town, Fareham Town, Le Havre, Vannes, Alemannia Aachen, Darmstadt 98, SG Bruchkobel, Viktoria Zizkov

I've just noticed that Estrela Amadora have disappeared from the Portuguese Super Liga.

Belenenses seem to have been reprieved from relegation as a result, as have Boavista in the second tier.

It looks like the second tier is running with 15 teams next year.

Does anyone have any further info about this?

Cheers!

Edit: Vizela have also gone from the second tier...

I beleive that in Austria Regionalliga Mitte, Voclabruck (relegated from Div 2) have folded and therefore Bad Ausee (relegated from Div 2 the previous season) have ben reprieved a further relegation !

Just read this morning that in Croatia, newly promoted clubs will NOT be playing on their own grounds due to ground licensing requirements.

Karlovac AT Zapresic
Lokomotiva Zagreb AT Dinamo Zagreb
Medimurje AT Varteks Varadzin
Istra 1961 AT Rijeka

The latest is that Boavista have not paid their fines and so will not be reprieved in place of Vizela. So, these 2 plus Gondomar & Amadora are relegated to the third level to be replaced by Chaves, Fatima, Carregado & Penafiel ...
.... but as is ever the case with these things in Portugal, nothing should be considered definite yet - the lastest rumour is that Vizela will not be demoted after all Crazy. Watch this space.

The names Carregado & Penafiel still do not appear on the Portuguese league web site, and hence I have left the spaces vacant in the changes list.
Checked the French and Italian. Note in Italy that three teams (Pisa, Avellino and Treviso) have dropped from Serie B, without finding a place in the Pro Lega (former C1 and C2), while three more dropped from Pro Lega DIvision 1 (Venezia, Sambenettse and Pistioese) were relegated without finding a place in the next lower division. Vezenia did not finish in a relegation place. In Pro Lega 2, the red shows clubs that went down without finishing in a relegation place. One Serie D group winner did not get promoted, while 4 runners-up did, and there is still one vacancy in Pro Lega 2

In France, Sete and St Gratien lost their places in the National League (i.e. Division 3), the winners and runners-up of Groups B,C and D of CFA went up, but no one went up from Group A - where the champions Besancon were relegated. Calais suffered double relegation, and Sete treble relegation.

Monteau Borgogne and Red Star Paris were also forcibally relegated from CFA to CFA2

Re: [mick] Changes List 2009 International [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Regarding Portugal this is the explanation of what happened during the summer:

In Premier League
Estrela da Amadora was relegated to 3rd level (II divisão) because of financial problems. They didn't pay any salaries to players/staff last season. Belenenses were reprieved from relegation by the second time in 3 or 4 seasons. The other club relegated from Premier League was Trofense.

In Second League
Boavista, Vizela and Gondomar were relegated to 3 rd Level (II divisão). Boavista and Gondomar finished in the bottom two places so were relegated. Vizela and Gondomar were considered guilty of football corruption a couple seasons ago so were demoted (Gondomar was already relegated). Boavista can't be reprieved because of their huge financial problems.

Chaves and Fatima were the two clubs promoted from 3rd level, but because there were two extra-places available, Carregado and Penafiel (the 3rd level play-off losers) were promoted.

So... essentially Gondomar get away unpunished, at least in terms of any actual demotion.

I APOLOGISE UNRESERVEDLY TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THIS FORUM WHO HAS FELT LET-DOWN BY MY INIMICABLE AND DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOUR OF OCTOBER 28th. 2009. ESPECIALLY TO BRIAN, WHO IS A MARVELLOUS GENTLEMAN AND IS THE LAST PERSON HERE WHO SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SUCH UNDESERVED PERSONAL CHARACTER-ASSASSINATION. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT A PRIVATE PERSONAL APOLOGY WAS SENT, BUT WAS SEEN INSUFFICIENT. FAIR ENOUGH.

Not completely. If they were innocent they were reprieved from relegation.

I have just updated Hungarian NBII
Highlights are - Champions of one group, runners-up of the other are promoted.
Bottom two from NB1 relegated.

Bottom three from each of the NBII groups relegated
Champions from five out of 6 NBIII groups promoted.
The failure of the 6th champions to get promoted leaves on NBII group down to 15 teams, while Integral-DAC have dissapeared, leaving the Western group also down to 15.

The name Videoton FC returns, both in Székesfehérvár where the name replaces FC Fehervar, (this is the club long known as Videoton in the past), and also at Felcsut, where the club is now known as Videoton FC - Puskas Akademia
