Re: [Felix] FA National League Systems Cup [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

This is the last of the regionalised rounds so a Jersey v Guernsey final is a possibility
should they both win and then avoid each other in the semi-final draw

The quarter-finals are on four successive Saturdays

30 Jan 1.30 at Springfield - Jersey v Dorset
06 Feb 3.00 at Vauxhall Motors - West Cheshire v Yorks OB
13 Feb 2.00 at Vale Rec. - Guernsey v Herts
20 Feb 2.00 at Liverpool FA - Liverpool v Cambs

Re: [John Treleven] FA National League Systems Cup [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

One correction John - the preliminary round tie between Nottinghamshire Senior League and Teesside League was played at Bilborough Pelican not Greenwood Meadows. Having attended the game I can confirm this info is definately correct!

For some reason the FA website, even via the normally reliable competitions bulletin, always showed the venue as Greenwood Meadows, whilst the excellent Notts Senior League site gave a full preview of the game and stated it was being played at Bilborough Pelican. As the two grounds are only a few hundred yards apart and I had previously visited neither I had little problems which venue was used, but Bilborough Pelican it was.

If you can access the Where Did You Go thread for the appropriate date, I'm fairly sure I posted a report.

Following their success, Guernsey are now playing in the UEFA regions cup - in the Preliminary group, they will play Ankara (Turkey), Gwent County (Wales) and Recija Damacije (Croatia) with the matches taken place in Dalmatia towards the end of September.

I am starting a new thread in "Football in Other Countries" for more discussion of the topic.

Re: [leohoenig] FA National League Systems Cup [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Guernsey star Dave Rihoy will miss the UEFA Regions Cup in Croatia due to an injury he picked up in a recent Jeremie Cup game.
Rihoy's knee injury means he can't play for nine weeks. The Belgrave Wanderers player scored several goals in the Systems Cup campaign.
Ben Coulter replacing Darren Martin (Northerners) is the only other change to the 19 on duty when they won the Systems Cup in May.
Manager Tony Vance has now named his 18 man squad as -

Goalkeepers
Thomas Le Tissier (Rangers)
Richard Davey (Rovers)
Defenders
Joby Bourgaize (Belgrave Wanderers)
Sam Cochrane (Belgrave Wanderers)
Oliver McKenzie (Northerners)
Tom Strawbridge (St. Martin's)
Alex Le Prevost (Northerners)
Jamie Dodd (St. Martin's)
Midfielders
Dominic Heaume (St. Martin's)
Matt Warren (St. Martin's) (captain)
Scott Bradford (Belgrave Wanderers)
Glyn Dyer (St. Martin's)
Jacques Isabelle (Rangers)
Matt Drillot (Belgrave Wanderers)
Ben Coulter (St. Martin's)
Strikers
Ross Allen (Rangers)
Craig Young (Belgrave Wanderers)
Simon Tostevin (Northerners)
