Ian Crawley has died aged 46 after a two year battle against Motor Neurone Disease. Ian became part of Telford United folklore after scoring the winner in extra time when Telford beat Macclesfield 1-0 in the 1989 FA Trophy Final. Ian had a distinguished career playing for Nuneaton, Tamworth, VS Rugby and Kettering. Further details can be found in the Shropshire Star at www.shropshirestar.com

He sure did. Hopefully a VS fan will let us know all about it.

Loved the bloke when he was at Tamworth, real old-fashioned centre-forward.

There's talk on the Tamworth forum (and I presume Telford's as well) of organising a collection in aid of motor neurone disease when our two clubs meet, hope it gets sorted.

RIP Ian.
