Mick Hill Can't Post or Reply Privately

Information is reaching me that Mick Hill has died, aged 60. He represented Wales and played for Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace. If anyone has any further details or a newspaper link would they kindly put it on here.

From "Those Were The Days" (Ipswich Town)

Former Town striker Mick Hill has died at the age of 60. Hill scored 20 goals in 74 starts and three sub appearances for the Blues between 1969 and 1972. Hill joined Town from Sheffield United in October 1969 for a fee of £33,000 and left for Crystal Palace for £35,000 in December 1973.

The Hereford-born frontman, who started his career with Bethesda Athletic, was capped twice by Wales while at Portman Road.

Hill, whose later seasons with the Blues were hit by injuries, is best remembered by Town fans of that era for scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 home victory over Liverpool in October 1970.

Former United centre-forward Mick Hill has passed away, aged 60.
The Hereford born man joined United in 1965 from Bethesda Athletic and moved on to Ipswich Town five years later, and during his time at Portman Road he won two full Welsh International caps, qualifying through his father's parentage.
He netted his first goal for the Blades in a 2-2 draw at Leicester in April1967, and followed that with another in his first Sheffield derby four days later.
Hill went on to make a total of 35 league starts for United (nine goals) and in all scored 33 times in a career total of 148 games.
