Poland - FIFA ranking vs UEFA Comps or Reply Privately

Poland's national team is ranked 5th by FIFA, yet none of its clubs were among the 80 who made it to the group stages of the UEFA competitions. I found this interesting, but then I have a lot of time on my hands.

FIFA rankings are for national teams, not club teams.
Poland are ranked 20th in Europe for club teams, and are the highest ranked country without a team at group stages
The next down with all teams knocked out is 31st placed Liechtenstein, and they only started with one
The lowest ranked country with a team surviving is 37th ranked Macedonia

Only three countries have not had one eliminated, these are Spain and England (7 teams) and Italy (6)
Note that Hoffenheim are not out, despite losing twice to Liverpool as they are in the Europa League now. The German team knocked out was Freiburg

Most of their national squad do not play for Polish teams.

Legia Warsaw did make the Champions League group stages last season. They conceded lots of goals though.
The rankings in many sports do not seem to be accurate.
Scotland were ranked above England in the rankings for the seeding in the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Despite consistently losing to England and finishing below them.
In tennis Simona Halep has been ranked second in the world for a while. This is a joke as she is absolutely useless. She has just lost in the 1st round of the US Open. The same applies to Johanna Konta formerly ranked 7th.

Those who did the seedings must have known something. England failed to get out of their group (including 13-33 v Australia) and Scotland were robbed by an incompetent referee in the quarter-finals (34-35 v Australia).

England would have got out of the group if they hadn't faced Wales and Australia. 3 of the world's top 5 at the time of the World Cup in the same group. All the other groups were much easier. In football the home team would have been seeded anyway. If the draw had been done a week later then England would have been seeded as they beat the All Blacks. Not sure why the draw had to be done so long before the competitions start and before the final qualifier was known.

Halep reached the final of the French Open a couple of months ago, also won Madrid and reached the finals of 2 other Premier event so far in 2017, so she can't be that bad. There's virtually nothing between the top 8 or so in the WTA Rankings, I believe they all had a chance of finishing the US Open as number one. Who would you put Number 2?

She's not really that bad, but just doesn't fulfil her potential. She threw away the French Open being a set and two breaks up against an unseeded player. Not what you would expect from the world's second best player. Players like Chris Evert, Stefi Graf and both Williams sisters have all been number 2 in the rankings. They were class acts who won grand slams.
I would probably put Garbine Muguruza as no. 2, although possibly no. 1 at least she knows how to win games.
I believe Venus Williams who is not in the top 8 can also finish at no. 1 if she wins the US Open, although this would depend on the failings of others.
