They took all those in certain zones of the previous round.

It would have been better to have delayed the draw 72 hours until they knew this weeks results.

Had planned to go to Huddersfield tonight, but was advised when I phoned mid afternoon of a potential problem. When I rang back at 4.30pm they still didn't know if the game would go ahead, and I was asked to ring back 45 minutes later. As the latest I could leave work to get there in time was 5pm, I abandoned my plans at that point as I wasn't prepared to waste the chance to build up some flexi time for a game that may not go ahead.

Not sure what time the game was finally called off. Whilst I am not suggesting Huddersfield Town are to blame for a power failure, it should be remembered that they openly admitted they called off this tie last week, albeit with plenty of notice, in order to protect their pitch for a first team game.

I think it is fair to say Atherstone have been well and truly messed about, and I can imagine plenty of complaints if they had been the home team and called the ties off in similar circumstances. In the FA Sunday Cup and FA Women's Cup the FA usually reverse venues after two postponements - perhaps it is time they did likewise in the FA Youth Cup.

From the Huddersfield Town website.

It looks like only part of the stadium is/was affected as the Donkey Derby went ahead but engineers failed to solve the problem in time -

MAJOR POWER OUTAGE AT THE STADIUM
Posted on: Wed 25 Nov 2009

Due to a major power outage at the Galpharm Stadium this afternoon, tonight's FA Youth Cup Second Round game between Huddersfield Town and Atherstone Town (kick-off 7.30pm) is in serious doubt. Engineers have been working on the problem for a few hours already, but there is no guarantee that the problem will be solved in time for the game. Keep checking htafc.com for further updates.

YOUTH CUP GAME POSTPONED
Posted on: Wed 25 Nov 2009

Despite the best efforts of staff at the Galpharm Stadium this evening, the FA Youth Cup Second Round game between Huddersfield Town and Atherstone Town has been postponed due to a massive power failure. However, please note that the On the Move Donkey Derby night will go ahead in the Fantastic Media Suite at 7pm, as power to that stand has not been affected. No date has been set for the rearranged game; keep checking htafc.com for more details.

It appears Atherstone are formally protesting to the FA about the late postponement of their game at Huddersfield, and are requesting that the re-arranged tie should be at Atherstone. http://www.atherstonetownfc.co.uk/...cID=1&newsID=123

Good luck to them.

All matches should be at the clubs main ground unless a club has applied to play elsewhere and even that only applies up to the 5th Round

The 11 that have are -

Arsenal at Barnet
Birmingham at Solihull
Brighton at Bognor Regis
Burnley at Accrington
Chelsea at Brentford
Hull at North Ferriby or Winterton Rangers
Manchester City (now out) at Hyde or Regional Athletics Arena
Manchester United at Altrincham
Middlesbrough at Billingham Synthonia
Swansea (now out) at St. Helens
Wigan at Robin Park

Therefore Portsmouth v Huddersfield should be at Fratton Park
