And although Codicote appealed they seem to be the fotgotten men. No communication from the FA inviting them to Wembley nor telling them there appeal has failed. Only team to be relegated who finished 2nd from bottom and with a much better PPG then most.... #Forgotten

But has it failed or not even been heard yet.

That was a direct quote from their Twitter feed - so they don't know.

"The forgotten men... FA acknowledge the Clubs appeal. Then have failed to communicate to the Club whether our appeal has failed or given us a date for a hearing"

That's my error. I'd seen the info regarding London Colney and Colney Heath appeals being heard during those dates and also the knock on that could have for Codicote. I'll update the list. Apologies.

Why will the Combined Counties still have only 20 clubs with Frimley Green.
Have Ascot been definitely moved back to the Hellenic League.

Exactly what I was thinking, although an Ascot move back wouldn't solve anything as the Hellenic Prem also has 20 allocations already.

Surely the only 2 outcomes are either the CCL Prem runs with 21 clubs or Northallerton’s promotion is rescinded & about 5 or 6 clubs are laterally transferred.

So what he said about Combined Counties only having 20 teams was either an error or a premature assumption about Ascot.

Mike Amos never said anything about Ascot. He quoted some guy called Gary Brand, in regards to the CCL Prem running with 20 clubs. I assume he’s one of his followers & might be confusing the SSML Prem/ESL issue with the CCL situation.

I note on the 2019/2020 FA regs that they've inserted the phrase " At Steps 3 to 6, the vacancies shall be filled at the
sole discretion of the Committee." on a lot of the regs. I imagine that's been done to the give FA more scope to do what the heck they like. That may well also mean fewer appeals.

Which is exactly what I’ve been saying they needed to do. They’ve hemmed themselves in with the current regs.

At the end of the day, if you want to get promoted, finish in a promotion place. If you don’t want to get relegated don’t finish in the relegation zone.

If so, should also allow them to fill up the divisions in a sensible manner rather than occasionally being hamstrung by a regulation. All will depend, of course, on how such discretion is exercised. Time will tell but this might turn out to be a good thing. Heck, it might even produce outcomes that'll appease the pyramidistas!

Isn't it strange that most of the views that the FA have messed everything up and their version of the rules/interpretations are the only right reading are people who never ever seem to go to matches? (at least they never post on Where Did You Go?)

If perhaps they got off their spreadsheets and google maps and actually went and went to clubs, talked to people there face to face instead of communicating with anonymous twitter posts, perhaps they might get a better feel of the way things actually operate in the real world.
__________

I go to at least two non-league matches per week and I haven't (as yet) posted on the 'Where did you go' thread!
