I'm gonna congratulate the FALC on this. They've done a pretty good job of it.

I honestly thought that Harrow & Hendon, with their London postcodes, were a certainty to remain in the Isthmian. Glad they've moved over.

Step 4 looks good as well. Never considered Cinderford would move but they don't look too bad where they are. The only thing is there new league is called the Southern EAST! Cnderford are definitely not east. Maybe Didcot would have been better placed there.

Perhaps swapping Welwyn Garden City & Marlow as well but I'm picking. All in all I'm pleasently surprised and pleased.

Let's hope they do the same for Step's 5 & 6!

Keep it away from the Banbury treasurer...

I don't suppose a judicial review is really justified for this.

It was bad enough when Banbury escaped the Hellenic in 2000 only to be put in the Eastern division.

I hope some serious thought is given to the names of the various Divisions - both new and existing.

The document published yesterday - albeit without Sponsors, and presumably therefore something of a "guidance note" only at this stage - refers to the four Southern League Divisions, for example, as:

Southern League Central
Southern League South
Southern League West
Southern League East

How is the average fan, who may not have an in-depth knowledge of the pyramid - supposed to work out which Divisions are at which Step? And that is before Evo-Stik have stuck their oar in and insisted on having their say.

There should be a clear emphasis on "Premier" and "Division 1" in all names to make it as clear as possible.

Agree with you regarding the naming of the divisions.

No brainer surely that Didcot and Cinderford will be swapped?

We start our journey for the first time in step 4 next season and cannot wait.

Surely it's better to be honest and regard yourself as a new club than pretend to be the same as a club that has folded.

Well said. Anyway I'm merely a supporter and only moved here in 2012 so I never saw the old club play. The new committee I understand were not part of the old Berkhamsted Town one and should be applauded for 3 promotions in 9 years to get to step 4.

It's probably on here somewhere but I can't find it. How is promotion and relegation working between Steps 2 to 4 now?

With the 3 teams promoted from the NCEL1 coming from a localised area. Does it make it more likely that Campion now being isolated, will find themselves in the NWCL1N next season?

I've gone totally blank. Can someone remind me how 7 Step 4 divisions are promoting into (and being relegated from) 4 Step 3s?

Laindon Orient are showing in the proposed constitution for the new season of the Essex Olympian League - so will not be at Step 6 next season, thankfully!! So you can remove them!

Woodley United are showing as reprieved in the list of Step 5 relegations - but you then have them relegated to Step 6 in the predicted lineups.

It's now looking pretty likely that Chard Town will have a stay of execution and remain in the Western League for another 12 months.

FWIW, I was told on Saturday at Sturminster Newton by someone on the local scene that Chard had been granted the grading without having to do any further work on the slope ...,.

Just had a look at the EOL proposed constitution and I can only see Laindon Orient Reserves. There doesn’t appear to be any listing of their first team. Has there been an alteration made?

No alteration made as far as I know. They are showing in Division Three - were last night, still are having just checked now. So not in the Eastern senior League.

Yes you’re right, I’ve spotted them now.

On another note it looks like Benfleet are getting a triple promotion and Newbury Forest a double promotion up to the new Step 6 League.
Doesn’t seem very fair on the clubs just missing out in promotion battles in some of the other Step 7 leagues.

All the teams that applied for promotion to the NWCL, passed the ground grading & didn’t end up in a relegation position will be promoted! The only club that the F.A. are awaiting are Rylands, who need 3 points from there last 3 games to avoid the drop. Stone OA will be laterally moved to the NWCL & the one or two remaining places will be filled by lateral transfers. The F.A. are trying to avoid relegation from step 6, with the use of lateral transfers.
Next season the promotion from step 6, will be the 19 champions only & then the 9 best runners up on a ppg basis.
