So what are they going to do about it? I can't see them expelling Leeds from the League if he digs his heels in.

He will no doubt appeal as he done in the past and if he loses he will either sell up or transfer everything into a relatives name so he can continue going about his dealings.Him and that club were made for each other.

He's going to put the club in his son's name and then it will revert back to his own after March.

He's treating the League with the contempt it deserves.

Listening to some Leeds United Supporters Club bloke on 5Live yesterday afternoon, apparently (according to him) the fans are happy to have Massimo Cellino there and they think he's been good for the club. They just feel like Leeds are being picked on. Poor loves.

Surprised he did not say it all stems from the 70s when they often used the same limp excuse for the regularity they appeared at the FA for the thugish antics they displayed on the pitch whilst the fans were doing the same off it

Re: [kirby knitters] Massimo Cellino [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

He is still chairman at Leeds?

Quote
Leeds United have held talks with former Brentford and Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler.

Current head coach Neil Redfearn is out of contract this summer and seems set to leave after chairman Massimo Cellino called him "a baby" and "weak".

Rosler has been out of work since being sacked by the Latics in November.

The 46-year-old led Wigan, who were relegated to League One after he left, to the Championship play-offs and an FA Cup semi-final in 2013-14.

An announcement could be made on Wednesday.

Cellino said last week that he still had not decided who he wanted as head coach next season but it is understood the Italian is yet to speak to Redfearn since returning from his ban earlier this month.

He said: "Is Neil the best coach for the club next season? I am asking myself this every day.

"I have to find the right coach for this club. We have an option for Neil to be here next season."

Redfearn was the club's third head coach of the season after Cellino sacked both Dave Hockaday and Darko Milanic.

Leeds finished 15th in the Championship last season.

The Football League have determined that Massimo Cellino's offence in Italy over non-payment of tax on an imported car, totalling about €30k, constitutes a disqualification condition under the owners & directors test. Cellino has until October 28th to appeal against the Football League decision.

Rumour is they were willing to let the tax issue slide, but no fit and proper person would ever hire Steve Evans as a Championship club manager. :D

Banging in an appeal against the ban today and if unsuccessful it is likely he will only be out of the game until June next year so a pretty pointless exercise anyway.

Robinson has turned down the offer and is to stay at League One MK Dons. Says it all really!!

And that was really my point. How much further can Robinson take MKD with the small budget they have, he has done really well and when an oppertunity arises to go to a much much bigger club he turns them down. I doubt Cellino will be at Leeds much longer so he may get another crack at it sometime in the future.

Am I right in saying, that Cellino went through 30 odd managers in a short space of time, while he was an owner in Italy.

As seasoned (50+ years) observer of Leeds, if not a'fan' for the last thirty, there are two questions I genuinely don't know the answer to
1. What does Cellino want to get out of being chairman?
2. Who is/was the worst chairman, Cellino or Bates?

Running the club down hardly makes it a more saleable proposition. I think any suggestion that Leeds is one of the clubs attractive to investors with growth potential after a takeover is receding. Fast.
