I used to go to a Café in Chester when I visited friends, I was a small place I think it was called Myras. It was on Brook Street, I think it closed when the new Brook Street Café opened.

Seems like there's been a little bit of a renaissance of pie and mash shops. A few have opened around London in the past couple of years.

It's a retro thing or even a fad like fashion it comes and goes.

I'm off with my pudding basin to get my faggots & peas.

One of my favourite cafes sits between Croydon FC & Beckenham Towns grounds. Elmers End cafe (just 5 mins walk from Elmers End train station) is owned by a real character called Pete.
The only cafe i know where you can buy a fry up or have a chicken chop suey at 8 o'clock in the morning. Great hangover food!

I've been in there, albeit a few years ago, and yes the food was good and so was Pete. Must do a revisit soon!

Are the cafés in Albert Square not up to much?Tongue
