Now Bill Ng is reported to have withdrawn their offer for Rangers and US Businessman Miller have suspended their offer until Monday, so maybe noone actually wants to own Rangers? McCoist is getting fearful of liquidation

We put knackered old dogs to sleep when they run out of steam and cant function anymore, we should do the same with knackered old football clubs!!!!!

I wouldn't mind betting that a Pyramid system would
be swiftly put in place north of the border, if the Gers
were to go completely tits up and then reform.

Or would the rules be changed overnight - a la Boca in
Argentina - and an extra place in Division Three suddenly
become available.

There's too much money involved for them to disappear completely. A place in the top division would be found for them even if they 'reformed.' Rules are only the rules until new ones are written, usually to accommodate the elite.

Off the top of my head, they were relegated last year
but because they were 'too big' to go down, the league
was totally revamped, ergo they stayed up. Something like that.

Of course that would never happen over here....

Methinks you may be a tad mistaken DQ. Boca won the Apertura 2011 as it happens, though had an ordinary Clausura. River Plate did have a succession of bad seasons and were relegated for the firat time in their history so no Superclassico in BA this season although River look a good bet to bounce back up.

Edit : on the other comment, it could be said that The Scottish League Premier was expanded in 2000 in order to avoid Aberdeen having to be relegated but it's more like a happy coincidence Crazy

Administrators say obstacles were legacy contracts, limitation of potential revenue streams & expectation of investment.

There might be other reasons too!

"Rangers Go Green" has got to be a headline on its own. You would have thought he would be ruled out on name alone. Is it now all over, especially for the creditors?

THey've had Craig Whyte, now they've got Charles Green . . . all they need now is former Hibs Chairman Lex Gold to get involved.

Black and Tan colours. Appropriate for them. Would balance up the Green, Whyte and Gold.

Seems as though Rangers FC have won one battle as a judge has ruled that the SFA have acted outside their powers in putting a transfer ban on the club. However it does open up the possibilty that other sanctions could be taken against the club including suspending them or expelling them.

On the financial front the proposed CVA will offer (at best) 9p in the £1 to creditors.

This would be funded by the Charles Green and consortium LOAN of £8.5 million to the club to be repaid with interest by 2020.

Of the £8.5 million, £5.5 million has already been claimed in fees by the administrators Duff and Phelps.

If the CVA is rejected Green etc will purchase Rangers assets for £5.5 million, liquidate the club leaving £0 for creditors and £5.5 million for the administrators.

What a pity Charles Green couldn't get Craig Whyte into the consortium - the Green & Whyte Rangers.

And that is what really stinks in all administration cases. If creditors only get 9% (or even none) of their money back, why should the administrators get 100%

SFA rulebook

“The fact of membership of the SFA shall constitute an agreement by a member of it that it, or any body or person interested through such member, shall submit all disputes to the jurisdiction of the judicial panel and shall not be permitted to take such differences or questions to a court of law.”

By taking their case to court Rangers are in breach of SFA rules. If the SFA obeys the court ruling it is in breach of UEFA/FIFA rules for allowing courts to intervene in footballing matters. This has all sorts of implications for clubs and the national team.

Solution - expel Rangers from the SFA for breach of SFA rules.

It's quite simple, if administrators didn't get their fee, then no one would do the job.
