I noticed in hindsight the Pickles clue, and believe I would have solved it myself if I only had felt a bit more confident, desperate or unbusy. I tried more to find out if there was any special reason - apart from him being very good at this - that mip was the favourite to win.
Anyway, it's easier to be close to winning, than to actually win!
So, this time it's a dead person, but neither a player or/nor manager. There are many narrowing down questions that comes to mind, so I'll pick one of them.

Lars, I will tell you why I was favourite to win Jamesie's quiz - apart from being very good at playing the 20Q game (thank you very much) or perhaps not being good at it, decide yourself. Simple answer, I was favourite because Jamesie had told me the answer in a pm a few days ago when I taunted him because he was running out of answers to his quizzes!
