Team(s): Not any more
|Thanks, Andy. If it's not our turn for Christmas in Farnham, my wife and I usually go down the first weekend in December because it's the closest to her dad's birthday. This is the first time either Hartley Wintney and/or Petersfield Town have been at home in a decade of visits. Two grounds I really fancy doing. I went to the old Alton Town ground (on a previous Christmas visit). I gather from WDYG reports, Alton's new one is much better than one would imagine.
First and only visit of the calendar year to the faraway in-laws (a result, certainly) will see me ticking off another ground in the vicinity of Farnham.
Choice of grounds unticked over a decade's treks down there:
Hartley Wintney v Chesham United (Southern League something-or-other). Are the Row still issuing a print version of their programme?
Guildford City v Cobham (Co-Co Prem)
Ash United v Sandhurst Town (Co-Co One)
Alton v New Milton Town (Wessex One). The plastic could prove useful if it's wintry
Petersfield Town v Andover Town (Wessex One)
Might be tempted (if there's a programme) by London & SE Premier RU at Guildford, who're playing Bedford Athletic.
Petersfield is the one for ricketty ground architecture, with Alton as a handy back-up
