Holmer Green 3-1 Windsor (HEL)
- played at Watchet Lane, Holmer Green from 7.45pm

Att 83 (official); Entry - 6; Prog - 1; Refreshment none taken
Weather for some reason it rained .. that fine drizzle stuff
Travel A34, M4 and A404 in a good ninety .. back via M40, M25 and A3 .. and amazingly no road closures
Colours all green for the Green .. all red, with those union jacks front and back, for the Royalists

Ref decided this one .. and it all happened in the run up to half time .. visitors 1 up after a strong individual attack punished the defence with perfect strike on 22 .. then they denied a further goal on 32, as offside declared from a defensive deflection and tap in near goal line not given, as ball hit net .. forward who tapped in got the worse of fall and stretchered off with ankle problem .. Windsor then went to sleep re-organising and the equaliser comes just before the break on 39 with good shot .. a visiting forward then gets a second yellow on 45+3 and marches off to the changing rooms .. so instead of 2 up with eleven players on pitch .. its 1-1 at the half and just the ten .. second half was inevitable as goals two (on 54) and three (on 76) went in .. even with a spirited showing given by Windsor .. not helped when another red shown to them in between goals on 65 .. so this one was in the bag for Holmer Green .. the Ref getting many a side line back chat from the visiting punters .. as the game was brought to an end.

Ground was well away from the Clubhouse, which had many a turn and room .. players walking out along track between barriers and healthy conifers, to find a flat pitch, which allowed access to just three sides .. some elevated putlog and galv sheet cover up the Clubhouse end .. a seated stand down the side .. dugouts opposite .. and not much else to report for this tree lined arena .. simple stuff .. but all you need for the Hellenic .. which allowed completion of the Premier league from my perspective in 18/19 .. Tongue

Grounds = 569, Leagues done = 8 (44 to go); Games (19/20) = 14; New Grounds (19/20) = 14; Goals (19/20) = 65; Ave goals/game = 5.00; Last new ground = Lion Park; Next = Tues 23rd July.
