Re: [buncranaboy] Virgin Cup Winners or Reply Privately

We may well have two such examples in waiting if Hull City and St Johnstone can do the business on their clubs big days next month but today saw a virgin winner in the Netherlands as PEC Zwolle surprisingly thumped Ajax 5-1 in the Dutch Cup Final despite going behind after only three minutes!

One year on, and Zwolle got back to the Cup Final again only to lose 2-0 to another team experiencing their first domestic cup success in FC Groningen whose only previous final had been in 1989 when they were thumped 4-1 by PSV.

Another to possibly join the list are Wolfsburg who take on Borussia Dortmund in what will be only their second-ever final, having previously lost 3-0 to Gladbach in 1995

And just like last year, virgin winners in Holland followed by virgin winners in Scotland as ICT scraped past Falkirk.

Another one in Germany as Klopp's final Dortmund game ended in comprehensive defeat to Wolfsburg who came from behind to win 3-1.

And whilst anything but a virgin win, did anyone else see that sensational Lionel Messi goal that set Barcelona on their way to another cup final win against Bilbao? Unreal..........
